St. Louis County’s latest online auction of newly offered tax forfeited properties has closed with 29 properties sold back into private ownership for a total of $903,575. The auction, conducted through publicsurplus.com, closed Thursday. Of the properties purchased, 15 had competing bids resulting in sales above the original listing price.
The auction featured a variety of residential and commercial properties, recreational land and more. All of the properties that included structures sold. This includes two commercial buildings, two houses, two duplexes and a barn. Also selling were several waterfront lots and a formerly blighted property that the county had demolished and cleared for new development.
