Duluth Police Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of West 4th Street on a report of a stabbing on Friday. The victim, a 22-year-old female, sustained an injury to her neck as the result of the stabbing and was rushed to surgery due to significant blood loss. The female survived her injuries and is in the process of making a full recovery.
The Duluth Police Violent Crime Unit Investigators followed up with the incident and concluded that Brian Lee Saice, a 37-year-old male was responsible for the stabbing. Saice was subsequently arrested on Monday, June 28, 2021, on warrants for unrelated charges. Today, Thursday, July 1, 2021, Saice was booked in the St. Louis County Jail on charges of 2nd Degree Assault and 3rd Degree Assault.
