A 15-year-old girl is being credited with saving her family’s lives during a structure fire that happened early this morning.
The Duluth Fire Department was dispatched at 12:49 a.m. for a report of a house fire. Upon arrival, crews from the UMD Station reported heavy fire showing from a second story window on the front of a two-story single-family home located on the 1100 block of East 10th Street. The crew initially attacked the fire from the exterior and then advanced to the second floor of the home where they extinguished fire in two rooms and the attic.
